West Salem Middle School Odyssey of the Mind

Odyssey of the Mind is a Creative Problem Solving Club.  Teams of seven students and one adult meet on a weekly basis from November - March.  Students work together to create a solution in one of five main problem divisions.  They also practice some short term problems called "Spontaneous" at their weekly meetings.  Interested students complete an application in October and meetings begin in November. Students present their solution on campus at an event called "Parent Night".  They also present at the state competition in Madison WI, on the M.A.T.C. campus in March.  

There are 4 Divisions - 1 is elementary school age students, 2 is grades 6-8, 3 is grades 9-12 and 4 is college level competition.
