Biography
I have been one of the science teachers here at West Salem since 2014, I specialize in biology and environmental science which blends well with my passion for the outdoors. So how did I get here?
I graduated from West Salem in 2001 before heading UW-Eau Claire becoming certified to teach secondary biology and broadfield science. After graduation my wife and I moved to a small bush village in Alaska where there were no roads or amenities and only five teachers in the K-12 school. I taught a variety of classes: science, math, reading, woodworking, PE, etc. to students in grades six through twelve.
In 2008, we moved back to Wisconsin to be closer to family and I taught eighth grade science in Neenah and then 6-8 grade science in Brandon with two years of AP biology thrown in as well. After teaching far from home for seven years, I finally made it back to my roots in West Salem and am very excited to be here.
